🌟 Terms of Service 🌟

Thank you for your interest in commissioning me! You cannot pass my checkout and pay me until you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. General Information

  • I am a full-time college student, but I am committed to completing your artwork within the agreed timeframe.
  • All commissions are for personal use only unless a commercial license is explicitly purchased.
  • I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason, including but not limited to content I am uncomfortable with. If I refuse service at any point of the commission after you have paid, I will refund you for the service I have not completed. 

2. Process and Communication

  • Commissions are not handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Art isn't linear and neither is my motivation oftentimes depending on a piece. There will be times where I draw gifts, trades and other artwork. But the one month deadline is really for you and me! That way it doesn't really matter. 
  • Clients must provide clear references. 
  • I will provide Work-In-Progress (WIP) updates at the following stages:
    • Sketch
    • Linework
    • Coloring
    • Finishing touches
  • Please respond promptly to WIP updates. Delayed feedback may result in extended completion times.

3. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required upfront before I begin working on your commission.
  • Payments are processed through PayPal via my Big Cartel store.
  • Big Cartel handles taxes automatically, so any applicable taxes will be added at checkout.
  • All prices are listed in USD and are non-negotiable unless otherwise discussed beforehand.
  • Rest assured, none of your personal information is stored or used beyond what is required for processing through Big Cartel and PayPal.
  • At check out you will be propmpted to agree to my TOS and will not be able to pass the checkout until you agree.

4. Refund Policy

  • If I cannot complete your commission within one month, you are entitled to a refund for the work I have not completed.
  • Once refunded, the commission is considered canceled, and no artwork further work will be done on the commission.
  • You may request a refund at anytime, and I will refund you for the work I have not completed as soon as possible. 

5. Revisions and Edits

  • Minor changes are allowed at just about any stage depending on the medium (For example: Slight pose change, slight color change, or adjustments)
  • Major changes may incur additional fees depending on the complexity and time required. (For example: Redrawing of pose or major recoloring, or large adjustments)
  • Edits after the final artwork is delivered will only be accommodated for minor fixes and will not include substantial changes.

6. Delivery

  • Completed digital artwork will be delivered via email in a high-resolution digital format.
  • I store digital art files for usually a couple of months. The tax code I use requires me to give limited access technically. So I will only email the digital version three times. Please make sure to store your files safely! Toyhou.se is a great option, which my username is @howlhund
  • Traditional art will mailed to the address provide at check out within 5 business days. Please note that due to my location in a snowy area, actual shipping times may vary. Shipping details will be sent to you automatically via email. I am not responsible or liable for lost or delayed mail. If you package is sent back, I will hold onto it for a month and contact you giving you an option to pay for shipping again.

7. Client Rights and Usage

  • Clients may use the commissioned artwork for personal purposes, including profile pictures, social media banners, or printing for non-commercial use.
  • Redistribution, resale, or modification of the artwork without explicit permission is prohibited.
  • I retain the copyright to the commissioned artwork, and I may use it for portfolio purposes or post it on my social media.
  • Commerical/copyrights can be sold for an additional cost when requested. Even after a commission has been completed. 
  • Do not remove my watermark or username for any reason. 

8. Liability Disclaimer

  • I am not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances or lack of communication from the client. If I do not hear back from you over a week from when I send you a wip, a week will be added to your deadline automatically. This is to protect me from abuse of my time. 
  • I am not liable for any fees, taxes, or penalties incurred through your use of PayPal or Big Cartel.

Agreement

Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the cancellation of your commission with a refund of the work I have not completed.
